Shopping area 'Het Noordeinde' in The Hague is near Palace Noordeinde. In the four streets of this area are are many exclusive shops located. In coorperation with the city council, the retailers association BIZ Noordeinde chose for a crown-shaped lighting to give this area a clearly recognizable identity.

Until the unveiling of the new lighting, the church was unlit at night except for the tower. Our goal was to make the beautiful church visible at night. We focused on the Gothic features and adding depth and transparency to the light image. Low energy consumption and ease of use were also important, as was invisible mounting/placement of the light sources.

The interior was previously only dimly lit; Delft also made a completely new design for this. The starting point was that the lighting would be energy efficient and easy to operate. Furthermore, in the new situation, the fixtures are barely visible, both indoors and outdoors.
