Hovenring, Eindhoven, The Netherlands, design by ipv Delft
The Hovenring is a cyclists' roundabout that is suspended above a busy junction near Eindhoven. The Hovenring is more than just an alternative to a cyclists' tunnel or bridge, thanks to a combination of a challenging traffic concept and a high-quality design. It is a distinctive recognition point along a new cycle route and marks the entrance to the city.

Underpass Bio-Science park Leiden
Underpasses
This involves a new underpass at the bio science park in Leiden for fast traffic, a new underpass for cyclists and adjustments to an existing bicycle tunnel. All are located around the intersection. The access road for fast traffic will be a green main access route with a green central reservation and a spacious layout. By designing the viaduct without intermediate support points and allowing the green central reservation to continue, we literally pull the green vein through the underpass.
The underside of the viaduct is covered with bamboo composite and matches the inner-city appearance. The tiled walls of the underpasses form a subtle pattern that refers to DNA profiles. All underpasses also have integrated lighting in the walls. ipv Delft designed the three underpasses in collaboration with Karres and Brands.

Movable Figeebridge Haarlem
Impressive drawbridge
The new drawbridge, designed by ipv Delft, is located at a location with open sight lines over the Industriehaven and the Minckelersweg and provides access to the Waarderpolder business park under development. This area contains a lot of industrial heritage, such as the former buildings of machine and crane builder Figee.
The industrial environment and the history of machine and crane construction served as a source of inspiration for the integral bridge design: a powerful, timeless and sturdy drawbridge. A bridge with a clear and recognizable silhouette. In addition, the construction and operation of the various parts are clearly visible and readable, which refers to Figee's functional machines and cranes.
